Attorney General Eric Holder is the first Obama administration official who has attempted to further government gun control and violate the rights of American citizens to protect themselves from wrongdoers and the protect themselves from a tyrannical and corrupt government.

Holder believes that it is America’s fault that Mexican dopers are killing each other. I mean, let’s examine the logic. The U.S. buys drugs from Mexico, because drugs are illegal and this drives the narcotics prices through the heavens so dopers and smugglers can live a very luxurious life, because that is what we all want.

And guns, well, the dirty Americans are selling guns to Mexico. When the dopers get their hands on the evil guns, they kill each other with them. They cannot help it. If it wasn’t for the evil gun-makers and retailers, all of the drug cartels would be over in Mexico hugging and kissing on each other instead of killing each other.

I am doing everything I can to support our new president. It takes everything in my mind and body to try to see the light and find some good by digging through all of the ignorance and socialism style ideas. Its killing me though. Especially when some dumb-butt like Holder decides to attack my rights to protect the poor Mexican drug dealers. It must be mind-numbing to be of the status of Holder. The mind-numbing daily life of a Attorney General must kill all forms of common sense.

I have a better idea. Let’s secure our borders, fight crime and leave good Americans alone. Let the law-abiding patriot American keep his/her firearms so we don’t have to depend on and be at the mercy of our corrupt and inept government.

On that note, buy a knife.

I sure enjoy camping. I would never confess to the type to really rough it. But, I do enjoy spending a couple of nights in a tent and cooking up my meals over a camp fire.

Camp fire cooking makes the entire experience. I take pleasure in sitting around the fire and carrying on with friends and family. The great part is figuring out new and unique meals to keep things exciting. You can only eat hot dogs and hamburgers for so many meals.

If you really want to go the extra mile in cooking up scrumptious camp fire food, you want to make sure that you bring the correct tools to make it happen. You don’t have to go crazy with this, but if you like to the cooking process, you will absolutely need to ensure that you have the right gear on hand.

Food storage is critical so you’ll want to ensure that you bring coolers and plenty of storage containers. Having freezer bags and tin foil will make things go a lot smoother too.

Make sure you bring a durable cutting board because I can swear to the fact that trying to cut up a fryer on the hood of your pickup truck is not a wise choice.

I’m a knife guy so I am serious about choosing my camping knives. I make sure to bring a camping knife or two with a good sharpening steel when I cook-out. There are a few imperative things that you will need to look into when choosing your camping knives.

I always bring two camping knives when I head out to camp. I like to go with a good four to six inch utility knife for wide-ranging tasks such as cutting up the chicken or slicing fat from that beef steak that I plan on throwing on the grill. You can decide on a serrated edge and that’s fine, but I like the plain blade for the fact that they are much simpler to sharpen and maintain.

The other type of camping knife that I commonly bring on my camping trip is a butcher knife. Now, I don’t plan to field dress any, but who knows when you are going to need a tougher blade than the utility knife of steak knife.

You should always bring steak knives when camping. Because if you intend on eating steak, I suspect that you will not want to turn it into a steak sandwich although that doesn’t sound too bad to me.

Enjoy your camping trip and make sure you make a list of all the camping items that you’ll need. And be picky about those camping knives.

The bug out bag is has nothing to do with pests nor is it a bag to keep handy when you feel like you are about to lose your mind and bug out. The bug out bag is your stand by bag just in case it hits the fan.

The bug out bag is kept handy by many law enforcement officers and soldiers. They keep emergency gear handy in case they are deployed without much time to prepare.
These current crazy days in the United States has many folks planning for the worst whether it be a brown out, natural disaster or some kind of terrorist type attack. The bug out bag is kept handy for these type events.

This article is meant to help you locate a rugged and durable bug out bag that will serve the necessary purposes. I do not want to over do it on all the features of these type bags or go into great detail about what every zipper and compartment does. I will leave that to the website.

To Bug Out or Not to Bug Out, That is the Question

All I am doing here is giving you my humble opinion on bug out bags that I have used and am highly satisfied with. There are a few companies that make these bags that I would recommend to anyone.
I guess my favorite bug out bag company is Maxpedition Gear. Their bags are top notch and will last your forever with their superior durability.

About the only other extremely durable bug out bag that I would recommend would come from Hatch. These are more aligned for the law enforcement officer but can be used by anyone. They are very durable bags.

If you are serious at all about collecting knives, you should absolutely learn how to clean an old pocket knife. How to clean an old pocket knife is not exactly an art but there are a few things to keep in mind when doing so.

Ensure that your remove all sand and dirt.

Use oil liberally to remove any rust.

WD-40 isn’t a bad way to go to remove hard to get rust.

Break-Free is another great solution to clean the rust from an old pocket knife.

Lubricate the moving joints and parts and work them repeatedly to work in the oil.

Always wipe away fingerprints when done cleaning or handling an old pocket knife to keep the natural oil off of the metal parts as much as possible.

How to clean an old pocket knife.

Follow the tips above and you will certainly get down the method of how to clean an old pocket knife. It isn’t that difficult, but will require quite a bit of elbow grease.

Another method on how to clean an old pocket knife.

Another method of how to clean an old pocket knife is to simply boil it in water. I know this sounds crazy but it works. However, ensure that you don’t boil any plastic parts as this will certainly destroy them.

Bring the water to a boil and open the knife then drop it in the pot. Allow it to boil for no more than 60 seconds. Remove the knife and scrape the softened dirt and grime off with a stiff toothbrush.

Dry the knife then apply lubricant. That should get you started.

Stop by the knife shop at Knife & Supply Company and let us show you around sometime.

CRKT knife company focuses on creating a tough knife, that will last absolutely forever, at a price that won’t make you cringe if you loose it.

I really don’t want to get into picking out my favorite CRKt knife and then telling you what I like about it, although I’m tempted to do so and make no promises. I do want to give you a few CRKT knife images to take a look at.

These knives are deceiving. They are made so well and look so dang good that a lot of folks turn away thinking that the price may be out of their budget. This is the last thing the CRKT knife company had in mind for its customers.

Take a look.

The Ninja warrior strikes up the black clad silent killer in my boyish imagination. And, according to much historical documentation, this was basically true although the origins of the ninja are mostly unknown.

The definition of the ninja by way of breaking down the word itself would mean the art of silence or going without being perceived. It can also mean the art of ninjutsu; a form of martial arts.

The ninja was skilled in many talents to include assassination, martial arts, espionage and many other deadly arts. These were not guys or gals that you would want to tick off.

The ninja were not strictly involved with espionage. This is just some of the more noted aspects of their existence. They were also renowned for being expert with quick kill weapons; which were used against the deadly samurai.

The quick kill weapons came in many forms from knives, to sword and also sickle. The ninja would use weapons that were very menacing but could be deployed quickly and easily with as little effort and detection as possible.

I can imagine several types of knives that would be favored by the ninja should he exist today and have access to our superior manufactured knife makers. Let me give you a few of my picks and then we’ll continue the story.

Ok, where were we? The ninja was looked down upon in the early part of history as a dark killer or assassin. However, many leaders, Daimyos and Shoguns were in fact ninjas. They kept quiet their dark skills as not to bring shame to themselves.

In early Japanese history, it was believed that ninja groups were formed in villages and small towns to protect them from robbers and criminals. It was not until later that the ninja hierarchy actually developed.

It was also believed that many ninjas were women. They were skilled in the art of seduction and silent killing to be able to extract information from the enemy and silently dispose of them. That’s certainly not fair in my humble opinion.

Ninjas developed larger martial organizations that were under the authority of a Daimyo. These ninja organizations were kept very quiet and the ninjas within never spoke of their existence. These organizations took part in many silent espionage type missions and tasks.

The ninja is a very interesting warrior. I wonder if they still exist today. I am curious if ninjas exist in Japan operating silently under political, military and private wealthy leaders. I am certain they do as I’m sure that we have something very similar right here in the United States.

Small locking blade knives are the way to go for every day carry. Carrying a pocket knife is a must for someone like myself and many of you out there. I have carried all sorts of locking blade knives to include small and large. The thing that seems to play the most important role in the long run is the size of that knife if you’re going to carry it in your front pocket.

I don’t want to tell you what you should carry in the way of small locking blade knives, but I can strongly recommend that if you’re not used to carrying a pocket knife or have never carried one before, you may want to consider purchasing a small locking blade pocket knife to get you started.

A lot of men go out and purchase these locking blade knives that are just way too big to lug around in your front jean pocket. I promise you, that thing may look mean, but you will certainly get tired of it wearing on your joint when you’re seated especially if you drive a lot or work in an officer.

Small locking blade knives are the way to go for the active gentleman. You won’t wear yourself raw and getting that thing in and out of your pocket will not be a problem.

I had this old Army buddy that carried this huge Buck knife in his front pocket. He loved to wear Wrangler jeans and I assure you that his pocket knife wore him out. When he reached into his pocket to retrieve it, you could see the grimace on his face as he had to put forth the effort to tug it loose. When he sat down, you had to life when sharp pain recognition would display across his face as the butt of that folded in blade would plunge into his hip joint.

Another option is to get hold of an old pocket knife and learn how to clean an old pocket knife, especially a small locking blade knife.

Again, let me emphasize, go with the small folding blade knives. You won’t regret it.

Benchmade Knives brings to mind a sturdy locking system, some of the finest and sharpest steel on the market and an overall hard-core product that will not fold under pressure. I use a Benchmade Pardue Tanto automatic knife for work and find it to be one of the most reliable knives that I’ve ever carried.

This blog entry is dedicated to the 5 meanest looking Benchmade Knives that I think are on the market. This doesn’t mean they are my favorite Benchmade Knives or the best out there by no means, this is simply my take on mean looking knives.

#5 Benchmade Presidio, Black Aluminum Handle, Black Blade, Foliage Green

#4 Benchmade Rukus, Black G-10 and OD Green Micarta Handle, Plain, Clip

#3 Benchmade Rant Bowie, Black Santoprene Handle, Plain, Black Blade

#2 Benchmade Snody Axis Folder, G-10 Handle, Black Blade, Tanto, Plain

#1 Benchmade Osborne Rift, Black/Gray G10 Handle, Black Blade, ComboEdge

Ya gotta love Benchmade Knives and I certainly do. I guess benchmade has progressively moved up on my list of favorite manufactured knives over the years. Every time I order one for myself or a customer and get it in my grubby hands, I am reassured that these are of the highest quality on the market.

Take Care Folks,

There are a slew of Karambits out there. You have the standard Karambit style knives and then growing in popularity is the folding karambit knife. Take your pick, they’re both awesome tools of defense and often-times offense.

#1 Emerson Karambit Fixed Blade

This is an extremely gruesome looking knife coming from Emerson’s line of Karambit Style Knives. This nasty looking thing looks like the talon of a terrifying Terradactyl swooping out of the sky to rip you to shreds and turn you into dinner. Nice thought, huh?

#2 Mantis Knives MK-2 Karambit, Cinq II Karambit

The Mantis knife company is no slouch in producing gruesome looking knives. You’d have to check out the Mantis knife line to verify my claim. But, to be more specific, the MK-2 is one mean looking karambit if I’ve ever seen one.

#3 Emerson Karambit, Black-T Finish, Plain

Again, on our list of 5 gruesome karambit syle knives is yet another karambit from Emerson. I really like this black-t finish on this blade. It’s very tactical-like and makes a menacing little blade.

#4 Cold Steel Steel Tiger

Cold Steel knives makes some of the toughest blades in the business and they didn’t hold back when it came to the Cold Steel Steel Tiger. Another of many gruesome looking karambit style knives that I wouldn’t want to see clutched in the hand of some thug in a back alley somewhere.

#5 Tops Knives Scorpion’s Tail Karambit

Tops knives doesn’t exactly call the Scorpion’s Tail a karambit style knife in their write up, but I assure you, it meets the criteria for one of the many gruesome looking karambit style knives as far as I’m concerned. This is one ugly and mean looking little tool of butt-kicking.

Karambit sylte knives easily fall into the Fighting Knife genre, as they would be lethal in the hands of a trained warrior. I certainly wouldn’t want to face one without about 500 meters and a good long range rifle.

Check out the Emerson The Complete Karambit DVD Set of 4 sometime to get you up to speed on karambit style knives combat and training. It’s a great training aid that will absolutely bring you up to speed.
