Fighting Knife for the Present Day Warrior

Fighting Knife

I love a good fighting knife. I know, all the peace loving folks are cringing at the thought of a public post about a fighting knife. Well, settle down. I’m not endorsing violence or for anyone to go out and get into a slicing competition. I just love these knives and I happen to collect them.

How about the good old M-9 bayonet made famous by our U.S. military? That’s a fighting knife that’ll bring a memory filled moment and a tear to my eye. Now Buck was one of the first manufacturers of the M-9 bayonet. But, today, Ontario Knives has the current military contract and has had it since the 1990’s. I think they’ve all done an outstanding job.

Here’s a little snapshot of Ontario’s M-9 bayonet fighting knife.

And here’s a little picture of some of the original M-9s just for grins.

Now those are real fighting knives if you ask me.

Now, the Ka-Bar black fighting knife is one of my favorites. I’ve yet to add one to my collection, but as soon as I can, I will be doing so. There are a variety of these beauties, but I’d have to say that the Ka-Bar model 1212 is my very favorite.

I think any good fighting knife should have the combination blade. Why? Well, it simply looks meaner than hell and if I’m going to be hauling around a Ka-Bar, that’s what I want it to look like.

There’s quite a Large Selection of Ka-Bar Black Fighting Knives. Look around.

Last but not least, the SOG Seal Pup Elite. Now this is one good-lookin’ fighting knife. I love that firm grip handle that feels natural in your palm. The shape of the blade on this one looks like some kind of high tech design that makes everything happen a lot easier and a lot quicker.

Take a gander.

And that has provoked me to throw this little Seal Team video into the blog.

Well folks, that wraps it up. Go grab yourself a fighting knife.
