Let’s Strip the Law-Abiding Public of Knives and Guns
Category:You may think that I have a biased interest in being infuriated by silly laws that are constantly misrepresented and tainted to 
sway winning criminal and civil decisions toward those that mean to disarm the law abiding public. You are correct. I am biased; and throw in disgusted.
I believe that every law-abiding citizen of the United States has the right to bear arms in the form of firearms or knives. It is blatantly ridiculous to think that disarming a citizen who not only follows the law, but solidly believes in the law and justice with every fiber or his or her being will stop violent crime.
I am sickened and disgusted by those who have come to the foolish conclusion that stripping Americans of their constitutional rights to have guns and knives will actually make the United States a safer place. This demonstrates a chosen ignorance.
Let me give you a blatant example; illegal narcotics. The United States has a massive and confusing list of what constitutes an illegal narcotic drug or substance. A law-abiding citizen will not possess an illegal narcotic drug. Why? Because the citizen is law-abiding and illegal narcotic drugs are illegal to possess. Makes sense doesn’t it?
Let me ask you; do criminals abide by the law? Isn’t a criminal someone who refuses to abide by the law and knowingly and actively violates the law? I believe the answer to that question is a simple yes.
Now that I have established the crude definition of a criminal and a law-abiding citizen, let’s move on to my point.
Drug addicts, drug pushers and drug smugglers are all criminals according to the law. However, as shocking as it may seem, they continue to use drugs, sell drugs and smuggle drugs. I know; this is insulting! How dare they! The laws are on the books and these people still violate them and constantly get away with it. Or their sentence is so mild that it does not dissuade them from continuing their crimes.
So, with that in mind; let’s strip Americans of their constitutional right to own weapons and knives. So, now you have an unarmed law-abiding population. They are unarmed because they follow the law and the law dictates that they cannot own weapons for any reason; including self protection and the protection of their families.
Now you have an armed criminal element. Crazy, huh? Well, criminals are criminals because they do not follow the law; as in the narcotics example. So, criminals will continue to possess weapons whether it is illegal or not. I know; this is appalling. It’s the law!
This results in an armed criminal element and an unarmed law-abiding citizen. Makes sense to me if I choose to ignore logic.
Now, the law-abiding American public is at the mercy of the criminal element. The ability to defend yourself against a criminal that is armed will be impossible. Do you honestly believe that law enforcement will be able to intervene in every criminal act? Do they currently? Do you want to depend on your local police department to protect you, your family and your home against an armed criminal that is attempting to do harm?
Disarming the public is just another ignorant method of reducing the law-abiding citizen to a government dependent.
I have had and witnessed conversations, as we all have, with those that believe an unarmed public is the only means to a nonviolent country. I find that they are emotional to the point of being handicapped about the subject. They ignore logic and simply shout or scream to cover up any solid and factual objection to what they believe. They manipulate facts, lie and deceive to gain attention.
Americans should have a choice when it comes to being armed. This is what the founding fathers had in mind for our country and the definition of freedom.
I ponder what would happen if an anti-knife or anti-gun fanatic had access to a knife or firearm while an armed criminal was assaulting his or her loved one right in front of him, within his or her own home. Would he/she call the police and wait for their arrival while his/her spouse or child was being mutilated, killed or violated?
Would he/she shout, “Stop, what you are doing is illegal and we have laws against this!”
Or, would he/she arm his/herself and stop this criminal from taking the life of his/her loved one?
I know what I would do.
